Scene Recognition System utilizing 2,016-pixel RGB sensor and image sensor [NEW]
Dynamic~Area AF mode: 39 points
Selectable AF area modes
-Single-point AF mode~Ideal for stationary subjects. Camera focuses on the subject at a selected focus point only
-Dynamic-area AF mode~Suitable for capturing moving subjects. If the subject briefly leaves the selected focus point, the camera will focus based on information from surrounding points.
9 points: Suitable for when there is time to compose the photograph or for subjects that are moving predictably
21 points: Suitable for a randomly and unpredictably moving subject
39 points: Suitable for a fast-moving and predictably moving subject
21 Points
-3D-tracking mode~Pursues your subject using all 39 focus points. Once focusing is achieved with a selected focus point, the focus point automatically changes to track the subject according to its movement while the shutter-release button is pressed halfway.
3D tracking mode
-Auto-area AF mode~The D7000 detects the main subject using all 39 focus points and automatically focuses on it. With a G- or D-type AF NIKKOR lens, the D7000 can distinguish foreground and background using “subject identification” of Scene Recognition System and detects a person’s position by recognizing human skin tone for improved subject acquisition.
Auto area AF mode
Auto Exposure control~The 2,016-pixel RGB sensor detects highlights within a frame precisely. It calculates optimal exposure to deliver more accurate auto exposure control and i-TTL flash control.
High-speed continuous shooting at approx. 6 fps, for up to approx. 100 shots — captures the decisive moment~The D7000 incorporates newly developed shutter, aperture and mirror driving mechanisms. Combining with higher image-processing speed, high-speed continuous shooting at approx. 6 fps, for up to approx. 100 shots* is achieved. Start-up time is only approx. 0.13 s** and release time lag is approx. 0.052 s**. All this gives you stress-free, comfortable shooting, helping you to capture the decisive moment.
So I am officially a WordPresser!…YES…I’ve done the switch, so let me tell you it was easy. WP can import straight from Blogger. I just made a switch today and I am kinda liking this switch (crossing my fingers). The only main thing that made me switch is WP’s mobile app that let you easily update and manage your blog from an optimized smartphone user interface. You can easily create new posts, add media, manage comments, and more.
I signed up for WordPress a while back, but was having hard time trying to figure the whole thing out.I have been using Blogger for so long and have gotten used to all the features and was able to do a whole lot esp when it comes to customizing templates,HTMLs and CSS code edits.
I was able to import all of my previous posts from Blogger to WordPress and without deleting my Blogger blog~~Yaay~~The only thing though, some of the codes comes up broken, So I guess I need to work on figuring out the problem.I am on the learning process and I hope you’ll bear with me during this transition period. Hopeful I made a wise switch.

The 3-D thrill that swept movie theaters last year is now headed for your living room. In the wake of a new Blu-ray standard for high-definition 3-D, Panasonic, Sony and Samsung are all releasing home-theater setups that can display 3-D movies in full high-def glory. Using a combo of 3-D-capable Blu-ray players, TVs and, yes, glasses, the systems are able to deliver separate, full-screen, 1080p pictures to each eye. The technique they use creates a picture as vivid as in a movie theater without requiring a major overhaul of TV technology. And within a few years, a new cable television standard could even bring live events like the Super Bowl right to your TV in high-def 3-D.
THE BLU-RAY PLAYER(Samsung BD-C6900)
Blu-ray discs have plenty of room to store a separate 1080p signal for each eye (that’s twice as much information as in a 2-D movie), as well as the coding necessary to specify which image is meant for the left side and which for the right. 3-D-ready players use a special chip to interpret this info and send it to a 3-D-capable TV.
The TV (Samsung-UE46C7000 46 Inch Series 7 Luxia 3D LED TV)
We see depth when images from our left and right eyes merge into one; to re-create that in high-def, TVs must refresh the picture at least 120 times a second with alternating frames for the left and right eye, which tricks your brain into seeing only one image. Most new TVs are fast enough to do this, but to be 3-D-capable, TVs must include a converter chip and software to break down the signal and separate the left and right images. If you want a tv that will display 3d over hdmi you need to find one that is clearly labeled hdmi 1.4 120hz and has a big 3D. An infrared or radio beam syncs shutter glasses [below] with the screen to produce the final 3-D effect.
3D Glasses(Panasonic Active-Shutter Glasses)
Active-shutter glasses, like those included in Panasonic’s system, rapidly block one eye at a time so that each eye sees only the frame meant for it. The glasses contain two small, black-and-clear LCD lenses that darken or lighten when a radio or infrared pulse from the TV (or an add-on emitter) signals that the image is changing.(Credits to How 3D Works)
Nearly everything about the iPad is a joke to my opinion. It seems like Apple really missed a golden opportunity. If Apple produced a Mac Air Netbook we would’ve all buy one..right?. It would have fit between the iPhone and the Macbook pro/ Macbook air range, portable and have much greater functionality.
I’m just not clever enough to understand that I need it. I better not announce to the world that I don’t understand or I’ll prove I’m stupid.. I will go with this quote to explain my lack of understanding it ~“Exceeds your ability to understand”~
Why getting an iPad,while you can basically do almost anything with your iPhone? iPad has no phone functionality? So I have to carry my phone and this around, but if I have an iPhone I can do most of this stuff anyway (but with a smaller screen), so what’s the point of having both?
iPad’s biggest weakness is the lack of a full-blown, flash-enabled browser, the lack of multi-tasking and ooh and lets not forget~ it’s un-ergoonomically designed, no USB ports, no removable battery or memory…no lid?
How long is that screen going to stay unscratched. You are going to have to purchase accessories like a keyboard, a docking station,an iPad protection cover/lid.Of course it’s great for the manufacturers of accessories who will no doubt produce a multitude of covers and lids, and who knows how much those apps are going to cost.
So do you or does anyone you know go crazy with Christmas lights? When it comes to holiday lights,Iam a wimp!I’m obsessed with holiday lights. This weekend, we (my husband,me and our puppy Coco) went for a Christmas lights display in one of the homes in Woodinville Town, right outside Seattle. “Woodinville Wonderland” is the Christmas lights displays worth going out of your way to see. The house belongs to Mark Zembruski. There are 74,678 Christmas lights on and around his house and still ponders whether his dolphin display “could use another string of lights.Woodnville Wonderland has become one of the area’s top Christmas attractions. A tradition like taking your kids to sit on Santa’s lap at the mall. Or watching the burning Yule Log on public television.
The number of displays with flashing lights coordinated to local radio broadcasts(101.9 FM) have drew a lot of crowd in this neighborhood, particularly in this house. For the last six years, lines of SUVs, minivans and sedans have pulled up along the side of the street. From dogs, kids to adults this place was busy and looked like people were pulling up each second to enjoy the show.Couples with hot chocolate in hand and eyes glued to a Disney-like world the owner(Zembruski) has created: two 20-minute choreographed light shows featuring all those lights, dancing on cue to Christmas classics and the Coke commercial song. About eight miles of extension cords and light strings.
What do you get to see?
• Santa atop the chimney on a Harley made out of wire frame wrapped with lights.
• Giant cedar trunks tied in candy-cane red and white lights.
• A 7,270-light Christmas tree, glowing in red, white, blue and green.
• A 7 ½-foot Bethlehem-style star on top of the two-story house.
• Snowflake-shaped lights that fade to look like it’s snowing down on the house.
• A candy-cane lane.
• A lit peacock.
• A front yard filled with Frosty, angels, reindeers and trains.
• A yard blanketed with fading blue lights to mimic water moving downstream
-My most favorite display: is an interior projector beaming Santa onto a white screen covering a window of the house. From the outside, it appears as if Santa is working in front of the window and saying “ho, ho, ho” to the crowd.Toddlers believe Santa is waving at them. They gawk until their parents pull them away
The House is located at: 23620 NE 183rd St – Woodinville, WA 98077 Show Hours: Sun-Thurs 5-10:30pm / Fri-Sat 5-11:30pm
Do you have families or friends abroad whom you call more often? Then Skype is for you.Skype calls are particularly useful for those with friends and families living abroad because of the cost saving over more traditional methods.
Nowadays, many people are choosing not to have a landline, but are turning to technology for their communication needs. With the advent of the mobile phone and computers, landlines are becoming slightly old fashioned and restrictive. For not much more than line rental charge, mobile users can use their free minutes to call one another or send text messages.
How It Works
Skype allows users to communicate( through computer and/or mobile phone) by both voice, and more traditional textual instant messaging.Calls to other users of the service and, in some countries, to free-of-charge numbers, are free, while calls to other landlines and mobile phones can be made for a fee. Additional features include instant messaging, file transfer and video conferencing. Voice chat allows both calling a single user and conference calling.Skype’s text chat client allows group chats, emoticons, storing chat history, offline messaging and (in recent versions) editing of previous messages.
What You Need To Do
By downloading their software, a user of Skype can call other Skype users anywhere in the world for free.Users can communicate through PC to PC free calling, or Mobile phone to Mobile phone free calling. As long as both users have Skype downloaded to their computers and mobile phones.
Download Skype Here..and start using Skype today, believe me, is worth it.I have used Skype more than any other software I have currently on my system. I’ve also installed Skype into my mobile phone and I am able to communicate with my friends who also have skype on their mobile phone, free of charge. So what are you waiting for? It’s free after all..
It is one of my many hobbies (pastime) during the holiday season to drive or walk around the city esp the downtown area or around neighborhoods in the evening to see the lights displayed on and around homes and buildings. I found it very relaxing and soothing. The view is just breathtakingly beautiful.
As we all know the use of decorative, festive lighting during the Christmas holiday season is a long standing tradition in many Christian cultures, and has been adopted as a secular practice in a number of other non-Christian, or non-predominantly Christian, cultures (notably in Japan).
This is my favorite time of year.I’ll post more photos as we go along.Happy Holidays everyone.
