It’s Fall~Time to Layer Up!

The best thing about fall fashion? Layering. When the weather’s teasing you with the occasional cool temp but it’s not quite time to whip out your cold-weather favorites, getting dressed can feel like a standardized test. Instead of fretting in the AM, get inspired by these easy, breezy fall outfit ideas. TIP~Always be yourself when deciding on an outfit. If you like your bright, fun jewellery rather than rhinestone-studded silver, go for it. Do you really want to look like everyone else you see?

  1. Think about wearing earth-tone colors, if they work with your skin type. Celebrate the change of seasons and play up the bright tones of autumn. Leave the neon colors for summer and silvery neutrals for winter.
  2. Blazers are a good way to layer for brisk days. Go for russets, golds, brown, or olive green shades. Tweeds are so classic, denims trendy and casual.Only wear capris if it isn’t too cold. Continue reading

Have A Labor Day Long Weekend of Fun!

Labor Day is a time when families and friends get together to celebrate a well-earned day off and the unofficial end of summer. The Labor Day holiday celebration began in the 1880s as a way to honor workers and day laborers for all of their working efforts. Therefore, as you celebrate this year, plan a labor day party that facilitates relaxation and recreation, that being said, myself,my  husband and our friends are heading down to the Oregon Coast to celebrate the end of summer.I love Oregon coast beaches and cant wait to try new fun things while we are there. Hoping to explore the towns, walk by the beach, beach bonfires, making S’mores, maybe a helicopter ride and many many more fun activities.Happy Labor Day everyone! Have a long weekend of fun!!

Sunday Afternoon Is for Food,Friends,Fun and Photos

It’s no secret  that I am a huge fan of photography! I basically take a picture/photo of anything that capture my attention and tells a story when one look at it. So today I decided to do something I have never done before, and that is “Food Photography”.We’ve all seen the seductive photos of vividly colorful fresh vegetables, sumptuous cherry pies, and golden-brown roasted turkeys. These pictures, often found in glossy cookbooks and magazines, make us believe that if we follow the recipe we, too, can create such delectable dishes. My challenge for today was to make few dishes, invite friends over, enjoy the meal and take as many photographs as I can. And I did just that..

Finger Painting on My iPhone Using Brushes App

I have lately been busy enjoying painting on my iPhone using Brushes.Ever since I saw that particular cover on The New Yorker~ Jorge Colombo‘s paintings, I immediately downloaded the App and started my newfound fun hobby.Brushes is a drawing and painting app designed exclusively for the iPhone. With a simple, elegant user interface, Brushes offers a powerful toolset for creative expression. If you’re artistically inclined (and you’re willing to plop down $4.99), there’s no limit to the things you can create with Brushes. Below are few of the paintings that I’ve done so far with Brushes.

Cherry Blossoms at The Quad~ University Of Washington

Today we decided to drive and visit the most beautiful spot of the University of Washington(UW..pronounced “udab” ) ~ The quad. We took some beautiful Cherry blossoms photos and we are planning on going back for more picture opportunity.
Every April, pink and white blossoms brighten the Quad(Liberal Arts Quadrangle), signaling the end of another gray Seattle winter and the arrival of spring at the UW. The flowers envelop the branches of the Yoshino cherry trees and   Continue reading

Life In Color-Orange

Giraffes, Botswana

Photograph by Chris Johns @  National Geographic

A balance of playful yellow and passionate red, orange commands attention without overwhelming. This often flamboyant color brings to mind citrus and sunsets, fall leaves, and jack-o’-lanterns. Orange has even been found to stimulate appetite and creativity in humans. Here, three giraffes in Botswana’s Okavango Delta stretch their necks above the horizon before a glowing orange sky.

Photos Of The Day

How is everyone’s Sunday going? What did you do today? We had a very simple lazy Sunday. It has been raining all day, but still is beautiful outside.Coco still needed his walk.We took him to Golden Gardens Park ,one of the best and my favorite park here in Seattle. The park is located in Ballard on Puget Sound- this popular park offers extraordinary views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. We took couple of photos while we were there!

Coco,as usual the first thing everything morning, is to wake Mom up

Coco,  enjoying his ride

At Golden Gardens park, still raining, but not bad considering it is snowing somewhere right now, so we are  way better.I can take rain anytime  :-)

Coco, finally getting his walk… but still looks around to make sure there’s other four legged around so he can go and say hi.

The view was beautiful despite the rain.
