Design Me Pretty~Or Not~

How much plastic surgery is too much? What could drive a 23 years old young woman to decide to undergo 10 procedures in one day and almost died? The girl who was once a young, naive, Los Angeles transplant on “The Hills” now boasts a new nose, a chin reduction, ear reshaping, eyebrow lift, slimming of hips and thighs, and an upgrade to DDD implants ( get this-> she wanted size H breasts to match her name-Heidi-WTF? excuse my french!). She says the plastic surgery is helping her become “the best me” she can be. By the way,Is it just  me or does she look older now after the surgery?

The want to forever look young, not be seen with wrinkles, and the inability to accept the natural aging process. Simply – vanity seems to have taken over the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. These things are what are making people become addicted to plastic surgery. Do you really want to have this sort of addiction? Pursuing cosmetic surgery for the wrong reasons may be what leads to excessive plastic surgery.

It’s one thing if you have to do a plastic surgery for medical reasons, but it’s another thing if your reason is just because you want to collect some flaws that you think you may have.Even surgeons who profit from the boom are now admitting some of these treatment may be unnecessary.

For many people all over the world, plastic surgery, otherwise known as cosmetic surgery can become addictive.I used to think this was a problem only women were affected by, but no,no, no,It is not only women that are addicted to cosmetic surgery. Men too are now fast and furiously becoming addicted to plastic surgery. This is by far a very fast spreading addiction. There are many addictions of this nature all over the globe. Your neighbour may even be an addicted and you may not even know about it.

In a Glamour magazine survey, 75 percent of women between the age of 18 to 35 believed they were fat. However, only 25 percent were medically overweight — the same percentage as overweight men (from Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf). This kind of exaggerated self-criticism, called body dysmorphic disorder, can undermine your self-image. Body dysmorphic disorder has been defined as an obsession with a facial or body trait.

Plastic surgery gone wrong pictures~They get it right the first time, but  then the second time around not so good~

Jocelyn Wildenstein:  Famous for being disgustingly rich, Wildenstein has now earned a reputation as being the single most botched-up plastic surgery experiment in history. Too much money. Find a better hobby or better yet a charity.

Happiness~ The Soundtrack Of My Life~

Often people attempt to live their lives backwards;
they try to have more things, or more money,
in order to do more of what they want,
so they will be happier.
The way it actually works is the reverse.
You must first be who you really are,
then do what you need to do,
in order to have what you want. Continue reading

Divorce Gift Registy By Yours Trully-Debenhams

Move over Macy’s, Nordstrom, Sears,Crate & Barrell and Pottery Barn for your wedding gift registry.A store in Britain has launched a gift list service for people getting divorced.Debenhams has launched what is thought to be the UK’s first ‘divorce gift list’ for couples who are splitting up.

The tendency for modern couples to live together before getting married means the wedding list – designed to stock the newlyweds’ first home with basic goods – has become somewhat obsolete.
Divorce, on the other hand, results in one partner leaving and then having the need to fit out an entire new house with cookware, linen and electric goods.

Peter Moore, Head of Retail Services at Debenhams, said: “Divorcing can be an expensive time and registering for a Divorce Gift List means that family and friends can help the newly separated begin their new life.” “Unlike a wedding list which tends to be full of luxury items, I think this is going to be more basic,People will get towels, bed linens, irons, toasters and kettles.” Attridge said.

The launch date was anything but random — Debenham’s chose the month of January because it’s the busiest month for divorce in the UK.

I wonder if they will also have or / include a -> How To : A complete guide to choosing the right divorce gift for you!..

~One Post At A Time~ BloggersUnite for Haiti

Today is BloggersUnite for Haiti- day.The goal is to write/submit relevant posts and continue to do so as long as more information becomes available and more aid for the citizens of Haiti is needed. So Iam doing my part by listing all donations/ relief sites and as well as how to donate money, supplies or man power to the ongoing disaster relief efforts. Please let us come together and help our fellow Haitians. God bless you all.

For a fast, quick and easy way to donate is through text messaging. Most of the major phone carriers have stopped charging fees for text donations.(Tmobile is allowing its customers to phone Haiti without being charged for international long distance calls).Text message donation mechanisms for Haitian relief include:

  • Text  the world “UNICEF”  to 20222 to donate $10 to Unicef  for Haiti
  • Text the word “HAITI” to 90999 to donate $10 to the American Red Cross.
  • Text the word “HAITI” to 20222 to donate $10 to the Clinton Foundation Haiti Relief Fund.
  • Text “HAITI” to 25383 to donate $5 to the International Rescue Committee.
  • Text “HAITI” to 85944 to donate $10 to the International Medical Corps.
  • Text “YELE” to 501501 to donate $5 to YELE Haiti foundation.

Organizations Helping With Haiti Relief

MIXTURE OF TRUE AND FALSE INFORMATION:

TRUE: You can donate $10 to Red Cross earthquake relief efforts in Haiti by texting the word ‘Haiti’ to 90999
FALSE: Phone companies have agreed to donate 25¢ towards relief efforts in Haiti every time a text message is forwarded.
FALSE: Facebook has agreed to donate towards relief efforts in Haiti every time a certain message is posted as a member’s status.
FALSE: UPS will ship any package under 50 lbs. to Haiti for free.
FALSE: JetBlue and American Airlines are offering free air travel to Haiti for doctors and nurses.
TRUE: T-Mobile is allowing its customers to phone Haiti without being charged for international long distance calls.

Example:   [Collected via e-mail, January 2010]

This is currently making the rounds on Facebook posts…”Please donate: Text “HAITI” to 90999 and $10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross. Or text “yele” to 501501 to donate $5 to Wyclef Jean’s group.” Any truth to this at all? An if so, where is the money coming from for the donation, my phone bill? YES- from your phone bill

Is it true that when you txt “Haiti” to 90999 that the phone company will keep half of the $10 you are intending to be donated to the Red Cross?-FALSE

Here is what a friend posted on Facebook:

“Wyclef Jean, who is from Haiti, has an organization that helps….looks like he has already left for Haiti…here is the info…To donate $5 to the Yéle Haiti Earthquake Fund, text “Yéle” to 501501 (the amount will be charged to the person’s cell phone bill) or visit Yele.org and click ‘Donate.’” -TRUE

I received a forwarded text message concerning the relief effort for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. It reads:”After the tragic Earthquake that striked Haiti on Tuesday phone companies have agreed to donate 25 cents everytime this MSG is forwarded. Don’t be selfish.”-FALSE——Phone companies have not agreed to donate 25¢ towards Haitian relief efforts every time a particular text message is forwarded, or that Facebook will contribute $1 every time a particular bit of text is reposted as a Facebook status. Such messages are just another iteration of a long-running form of Internet hoax

This status is being tracked, the owners of facebook have confirmed they will send $1 to the rescue fund for the Haiti earthquake disaster for everytime this is cut and paste as a status. You only have to leave it for a minimum of 1 hour. Lets all do our bit to help -FALSE.—–Facebook has, however, established a Global Disaster Relief page to help the public find information on legitimate fund-raising organizations.

I’ve seen a rumor on Twitter and Facebook that UPS is offering free shipping to Haiti from its stores for any package that’s 50 lbs or less-FALSE —- This is not accurate. Although the company is contributing more than $1 million in cash and support to earthquake relief efforts in Haiti, it is not, as noted in its blog, providing free delivery of parcels to that country:

Keep seeing this info on Twitter and elsewhere that purports American Airlines is offering free flights to Haiti for doctors and nurses. American Airlines publicly suspended all commercial flights to Haiti due to the earthquake, but are they offering to transport medical personnel for the purpose of the relief effort? Below is an example of the tweet making the rounds.–”American Airlines is taking doctors/nurses 2 Haiti 4 free. Please call 212-697-9767. Spread word.” -FALSEA spokeswoman for JetBlue said the airline is flying relief workers from agencies such as the American Red Cross free of charge to Santo Domingo in the neighboring Dominican Republic, but only after they have been vetted by the Haitian Consulate. The consulate then arranges transportation for passengers from Santo Domingo to Port-au-Prince, she said. “We’re not offering free transportation for just any doctors who walk up and want to fly there.”

I have called my cell phone carrier (T-Mobile) and they are confirming that all calls made to Haiti will be free calls untill Jan. 31.- TRUE — According to a T-Mobile press release, that company is temporarily allowing their customers to phone Haiti without being charged for international long distance calls: For current T-Mobile customers who are trying to connect with loved ones in Haiti during the aftermath of the country’s devastating earthquake, T-Mobile USA is enabling phone calls to Haiti without charges for international long distance through January 31, 2010, and retroactive to the earthquake on January 12, 2010. Additionally, T-Mobile customers who may already be in Haiti will be able to roam on T-Mobile’s partner networks in Haiti (operated locally in Haiti under the names Voila and Digicel) free-of-charge through the end of the month. In both cases, T-Mobile will remove these charges from customer bills accordingly.

I See Numbers~Recurring Numbers~

I have been experiencing something that has never happened to me before. I keep seeing these particular numbers (111,333,555 and 777) everywhere so much lately. I’ll be looking at the magazine, or I’ll look at the clock,(usually number 3:33am has been appearing a lot) or I’ll be driving while minding my own business then I see these numbers.Has this happened to anyone else? Just curious if it means anything.
I brought this topic up today, because I was on my twitter page, the first thing I saw when I signed in, was 777 (I’ve tweeted 777 times!) , fun thing is, when I signed in, my eyes went straight to these numbers instead. I could have looked to see who has sent me a message, or what  my friends current tweets were, but NOOO– all I saw, was the numbers first.I have heard before that some numbers can mean good luck-(777) and some, bad luck-(666).Thanks goodness as of now, have yet to see numbers 666.. EERIE!!

Above- I ‘ve attached some of  the photos taken last year. I decided to start taking photos each time I see these numbers! I’ve got more photos.
